As part of the campus-wide Interdisciplinary Research Enabling Initiative, TDAI, the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center (BPCRC) and the Sustainability Institute (SI) are offering Climate Change Proposal Development Grants to support extramural proposal development and execution for big data-enabled interdisciplinary research related to climate change and sustainability. This opportunity is expected to fund 2-5 proposals per year, with award amounts expected to range from $5,000 to $25,000 depending on the size and complexity of the proposal.
Award components
Grant components may include:
- Funds for GRA or course buyout
- Funds for grant writing assistance
- Proposal support services
- Strategy workshop facilitation
- Proposal process management
- Pink team reviews
- Red team reviews
- Cost share
- Use of physical space
Deadline and proposal process
The deadline for Climate Change Proposal Development Grant applications is rolling, with submissions processed and reviewed as they are received and awards granted on a competitive basis as long as budget allows.
