I use geospatial/statistical models and big data in my research to explore major public health problems including drug overdose and interpersonal violence (gun violence, child abuse, intimate partner violence). I have implemented Bayesian spatiotemporal analysis, geostatistical models (e.g., K-function), and machine learning principles (e.g., Latent Dirichlet Allocation) in my work. I have advanced knowledge of R, QGIS, ArcGIS, GeoDa, JASP, and other packages, and a fair to good knowledge of Python. I am a sophisticated user of very large geospatial data sets.
