Emily joined TDAI in June of 2021 as the MTDA Program Director. Prior to joining TDAI, she developed and delivered online professional development certificate programs in the College of Engineering for mid-career engineers. She has extensive experience in the automotive industry using computer aided engineering methods to analyze vehicle structures. At TDAI, she is overseeing the MTDA program, advising and mentoring students, and providing key leadership over all aspects of the MTDA’s experiential learning curriculum. She also teaches the 2-semester culminating capstone sequence.

In addition to her BS in mechanical engineering, she earned an MA in Educational Studies from OSU in 2020 specializing in workforce development and adult education. She earned her PhD in Engineering Education in 2022 where her research focuses on digital learning environments for the STEM workforce.
