The Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI) proudly congratulates Dr. Ping Zhang on his election to the esteemed 2025 Class of Academy Fellows of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (IAHSI). Dr. Zhang serves as an associate professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Biomedical Informatics, with a joint appointment as an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. His election as an IAHSI Fellow is a testament to his exceptional contributions to advancing the understanding and application of data science and artificial intelligence within healthcare and biomedical research.

The IAHSI, which operates under the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA), acknowledges individuals who have made outstanding contributions to health informatics. Election to the Academy is one of the highest honors in the field and signifies a career dedicated to excellence, innovation, and leadership.

Dr. Zhang's research focuses on developing and applying cutting-edge data analytics and machine learning techniques to tackle complex challenges in medicine, including improving diagnostic accuracy, personalizing treatment strategies, and enhancing health education.
