Call for Student Posters and Flash Talks
The Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI) invites proposals for student flash talks and posters for the 2024 Interdisciplinary Research Fall Forum, Nov. 7-8 in Pomerene Hall, the theme of which is AI, Policy, People, and Society. Those eligible for this poster session include graduate students and senior undergraduates who require a poster session as part of their honors portfolio.
Poster and flash talk competition submissions are welcome from a wide range of interdisciplinary perspectives that fit within the theme.
- Posters can be up to 36 inches wide by 48 inches high
- Flash talks can be up to five minutes long and use up to five slides
The Demo/Visualization Competition begun in 2023 will return this year, once again chaired by Dr. Rongjun Qin. Poster presenters whish to include this aspect in their presentation should prepare a live demo or a pre-recorded video (3 mins. maximum) to visually explain the research data and results and the story they tell. Demos/visualizations can be displayed on the presenter's tablet or laptop at the event. A small laptop table will be provided in front of the presenter's poster stand.

- Deadline to submit poster proposals: Friday, October 25, 11:59 p.m. ET - SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSAL
- Poster drop-off (limit 36 inches wide x 48 inches high): Monday, November 5, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 350 Pomerene Hall
- Poster judging session (presenters to attend): Thursday, November 7, 12:30-2 p.m.
- Poster awards ceremony: Friday, November 8, 1:30 p.m.
